Alisson Becker Liverpool news
Alisson Becker - Liverpool

Liverpool forward Mo Salah has been in fine form this season but the Egyptian has been a doubt for their upcoming clash vs Manchester United.

Mo Salah has already managed to net 4 goals and make 3 assists in the Premier League but the winger picked up an ankle injury during the Reds’ win vs Leicester City right before the international break.

Initial reports had claimed that Mo Salah could be out of action for some time and would have to sit out the clash vs Man United.

Now though the latest news have made it clear that the player has not suffered any major damage in his ankle and will be available for selection for Sunday’s high-profile encounter.

The availability of Mo Salah is surely a huge boost for Jurgen Klopp since currently, Xherdan Shaqiri is also nursing an injury and the Swiss would have been a like-to-like replacement for Salah.

But now that the Egyptian is back in contention, the Liverpool front-three should remain unchanged when they travel to Old Trafford next weekend.

Apart from Mo Salah, Alisson Becker has also returned back to the fold and is in life to start vs Man United.

The Liverpool No 1 has been out since the opening day of the season but now he has returned back to full training and many believe he will be thrown straight back into action.

But some pundits do not want Jurgen Klopp to risk bringing back Alisson during such a high-intensity encounter since it could damage his confidence.

So while Mo Salah is more or less a guaranteed starter for the Man United vs Liverpool clash on Sunday but we will have to wait and see if the Liverpool boss opts to select Alisson over Adrian.

All said and done though, we feel the German boss should go ahead with Alisson Becker on Sunday since the way Man United have been playing, the Brazilian might very well be a spectator for most of the match.
