Mo Salah is not looking to sign a new contract with Liverpool meaning he could be put up for sale at the end of the 21/22 season, as per Fabrizio Romano.

On Friday, Jurgen Klopp was asked about Salah’s current contract situation and the manager calmed a lot of nerves by claiming that the player knows that Liverpool want to keep him and that the management are in no hurry.

He told Liverpoolfc.com: “I think Mo definitely expects this club to be ambitious, we were in the last years and we are… no, of course we cannot do much more [in the talks], that’s how it is.

“But I don’t think it’s about that, I think meanwhile it is Mo’s decision pretty much; I think the club did what the club can do, that’s how it is. There’s nothing to say about it, it’s all fine.

“From my point of view it’s exactly like it should be in this moment in time and everything is said. Nothing happened further, so no signing, no rejection or whatever.

“So we just have to wait for that, it’s completely fine. There is no rush in that situation.”

Mo Salah has been on a roll this season as well and since Liverpool are still attacking multiple fronts so one would believe that the Egyptian will want to sign a new deal.

But Romano has now dropped a bombshell claiming that the winger has no intentions of putting pen to paper on the new deal, not at least with the current set of conditions.

The expert updated: “Salah and his agent have no intention to accept current new contract bid from Liverpool. Talks have broken down since December, as things stand.

“Mo’s priority is to stay – but not at current conditions. Let’s see Liverpool’s next move.”

Where is Mo Salah heading to in the summer?

Salah’s current deal expires in 2023 and if he is not signing a new contract then Liverpool will surely look to sell him in the summer.

The last thing Klopp will want is to let such a fantastic player leave as a free agent so there’s no way the German will risk holding onto him beyond the summer if he’s not signing a new deal.

Real Madrid have been linked with Mo Salah and if he’s not signing then the La Liga will surely jump in. They are about to get Mbappe for free meaning they can very easily spend money on a player like Salah.

Madrid’s right-wing need a new world-class player and if someone like Mo Salah is available then Ancelotti will definitely ask Perez to go all out and sign him.

If Romano is right then we don’t think the situation is going to get any better before there has been no improvement since December. We doubt if Liverpool are going to bow down to the Egyptian demands so there’s a massive chance that the winger could be playing in Real Madrid’s colours next season.
