Alexis Sanchez has been below par ever since he moved to Manchester United from Arsenal in January. The player has lost the ball on numerous occasions helping the opponents to break away into attack.

And the argument that most United fans come up with is the fact that Alexis Sanchez is fouled too often.

But now recent stats reveal that the Chilean comes nowhere close.

In fact, there is an Arsenal player in the top three of the most fouled players in the Premier League during the current season.

The first person on the list is obviously Chelsea forward Eden Hazard.

The Belgian has gotten a new life under Maurizio Sarri and Sarriball seems to be working wonders for the player.

Eden Hazard has forced the maximum number of fouls out of defender but given the amount of talent that he possesses, it is quite normal.

The next on the list is a former Man United player Wilfried Zaha. Zaha currently plays for Crystal Palace and the England international is without a doubt the biggest name in that Palace squad.

But like Hazard he too is a wide attacking player.

The third name on the list is that of a midfielder – Arsenal’s Lucas Torreira.

Torreira built a reputation while playing for Sampdoria and then went on to have a wonderful World Cup with Uruguay this summer.

And now the holding midfielder has been setting the Premier League on fire.

According to the report, Lucas Torreira has been fouled once every 28.3 minutes which is a significant number given that he ploughs his trade in the midfielder area.

The next players in line are Cardiff’s Josh Murphy, Everton’s Richarlison and Leicester midfielder James Maddison.

Most fouled players in the Premier League(18/19):

  1. Eden Hazard – Chelsea.

2. Wilfried Zaha – Crystal Palace.

3. Lucas Torreira – Arsenal.

4. Josh Murphy – Cardiff City.

5. Richarlison – Everton.

6. James Maddison – Leicester City.
