Arsenal are looking at Real Betis midfielder Nabil Fekir as a replacement to midfielder Dani Ceballos – as per reports.

Dani Ceballos has been on and off in the Arsenal starting XI this season and right now there are massive rumours that the player will be heading back to his parent club Real Madrid at the end of the season.

And so with the Spaniard heading back home, it looks like the Gunners are looking at Nabil Fekir as a long-term replacement to the attacking midfielder.

Nabil Fekir moved to Real Betis from Lyon at the start of the season and so far the player has really impressed for the La Liga side having scored seven goals and provided six assists in 22 league games.

Now it looks like the 26-year-old is on Arsenal’s radar and the Gunners are expected to make a move for the player in the summer.

Dani Ceballos has not particularly been a hit for Arsenal this season and this is one of the main reasons why the loanee is hopefully going to be sent back to Spain.

And while Nabil Fekir will likely be a perfect replacement to Ceballos but the big question is whether Real Betis will let him leave after just one season.

The French international is under contract at Betis till 2023 meaning the La Liga side are in no hurry to offload him during the upcoming transfer window.

Also since Fekir still has three years on his current deal chances are the Spanish side will quote an astronomical fee for the attacking midfielder which is something that Arsenal will have to think about.

If the Gunners cannot remain in Europe next season then Mikel Arteta will surely have to work on a meagre budget in the summer and this could be a major problem in trying to bring in Nabil Fekir.

While Dani Ceballos did have a number of more games to prove his worth but by the looks of it, the Premier League season could be abandoned meaning Ceballos will have no other option but to return back to Real Madrid.
