Next Newcastle United manager Nuno Espirito Santo Premier League EPL
Nuno Espirito Santo Wolves

Wolves brought in Nuno Espirito Santo as their manager in 2017 right after he left his job at FC Porto and during his time at Molineux, the 45-year-old has pulled off some really amazing things.

Nuno Espirito Santo has not only helped the club move from the Championship to the Premier League but right now they are also playing in the Europa League with their next game coming up against FC Braga on Thursday.

And if reports are to be believed then the 45-year-old is right now one of the favourites to replace Unai Emery at Arsenal Football Club.

Unai Emery has had a disastrous 2019-20 campaign with the Gunners as they are right now winless in their last five Premier League matches and there has been a buzz about sacking him even before this month comes to an end.

While we do not expect the Gunners board to take such a hasty decision but according to the bookmakers, Nuno Espirito Santo is right now the favourite to take charge of the North London club.

The likes of Allegri, Mikel Arteta and even Mauricio Pochettino have been named as a possible replacement for Emery but suddenly the name of Santo has been doing the rounds and many believe the Portuguese could give this decision a second thought.

The manager’s current contract with Wolves end in 2021 and without a doubt, the club will offer him a new deal. But many people feel, he can only do so much with this Wolves side and will have to move one step up in order to win trophies.

Right now Wolves fifth on the league table – winless in their last five league outings and there’s a big chance they will be able to keep their Europa League slot next season too.

But as far as Arsenal are concerned, bringing in Nuno Espirito Santo will be a step down for the club since right now they need someone with charisma and flair to take charge – someone who can rule with an iron fist.
