Premier League side Brighton and Hove Albion are ready to shell out £20 million for the signing of Celtic forward Odsonne Edouard but Crystal Palace might try and rival the Seagulls, as per The Daily Mail.
The report claims: “Brighton are poised to step up their £20million pursuit of Odsonne Edouard after Celtic’s Champions League qualification clash with FC Midtjylland.
“The Parkhead club go to Denmark for Wednesday’s second leg, with the tie finely poised at 1-1. Manager Ange Postecoglou has already said he won’t stand in the way of unsettled players if they want to leave.
“And Sportsmail understands Brighton will wait until this week’s Champions League tie is complete before formalising an offer, with English Premier League rivals Crystal Palace also interested.”
Where will Odsonne Edouard end up next season?
Odsonne Edouard has been tipped to move out of Scotland for some time now and with two big English clubs interested in signing him, we doubt if Celtic will stop him from leaving.
Also, his current deal expires in 2022 so if Celtic refuse to let him go this summer then the Frenchman will move out as a free agent next year.
Brighton are currently the frontrunners in signing the 23-year-old since they have money to spare on this deal and even if Crystal Palace try and jump the queue, the Seagulls can easily outbid them.

Brighton have just made a £20 million bid for Odsonne Edouard and unless Crystal Palace are coming up with a better offer, Celtic will let him leave.
The Bhoys are not expected to wait any longer or try and renegotiate this offer since just six months later, the 23-year-old will be eligible to talk to clubs and then the Hoops will not even get a single penny from his exit.
Odsonne Edouard joined Celtic in 2018 and to date, he’s scored 83 goals and provided 37 assists in 169 games across all competitions.
