Ousmane Dembele has been asked to find a new club by the end of this month and it looks like the player has finally made a decision.
Barcelona have already put a contract on the table but as per the club, the Frenchman is refusing to sign it. Sources claim the player is making exorbitant wage demands, something which is not at all feasible for Barca.
His current deal expires in the summer which is why the Camp Nou outfit have informed Dembele’s representatives to find him a new destination so that the club can reduce their wage bills and also prevent the winger from leaving as a free agent.
What has Ousmane Dembele decided?
Ousmane Dembele though has time and again made it clear that he wishes to remain at Barcelona and is also ready to sign a new deal.
And as per the latest updates, the player and his agent have informed Barcelona’s board that he has no intentions of leaving the club in the next couple of days.
This clearly means that despite several clubs trying to sign, Ousmane Dembele wants to spend the rest of the season with Barca and then move out as a free agent.

He’s obviously doing this so that he can be without a club during the summer and then demand a massive salary from whichever club that wishes to sign him.
Major blow for clubs like Chelsea and Manchester United?
Premier League sides such as Manchester United and Chelsea have been linked with the winger this month but if this latest news is correct then both of them are going to miss out.
The two English sides were willing to take the gamble of signing the 24-year-old despite his poor form in Spain and they were also willing to match up to most of his demands.
But even if they do miss out on him, it will not be a major disappointment for the two sides since Ousmane Dembele has been really poor since joining Barcelona in 2017. In the past couple of years, he’s sustained numerous injuries and has netted only 31 goals in 130 games for Barcelona.
How has Xavi reacted to Ousmane Dembele’s decision?
According to Sport, Xavi has reportedly met with Ousmane Dembeleās agent Moussa Sissoko and has made it clear that if he wishes to remain at the club he will have to sign the new contract offered by the club, or else move out before the end of the month.
And if the 24-year-old doesn’t put pen on paper to the new deal then he will be remain frozen out of the squad and will not play any more games for the rest of the season.
