Man United suffered a humiliating defeat at the hands of Leicester City, losing 4-2 away from home. And according to Paul Pogba, the Red Devils deserved to lose.

United were completely outplayed and outclassed during the match and this loss means they have now fallen out of the top-four of the Premier League table.

Paul Pogba had another average outing despite which he made some candid comments after the match ended.

“We deserved to lose. To be honest, we’ve been having these kind of games for a long time. We are conceding easy, stupid goals. We need to find something, we need to change,” Pogba told reporters, as quoted.

“We need to find the right mentality, the right tactic, stick with it and resolve the issue.”

Paul Pogba is a major liability?

Solskjaer chose to use the pairing of Nemanja Matic and Paul Pogba in central midfield and this was one of the main reasons why Manchester United couldn’t take control of the match.

The two midfielders were chasing shadows throughout the match as the likes of Maddison and Tielemans were consistently finding spaces in and around the final third.

This is not the first time that Paul Pogba has been found wanting when used in a deeper role and now we know why Ole has been relying on the pairing of Fred and McTominay to shield the back line.

Paul Pogba is someone who just wouldn’t track back to help his defenders and due to him, the Man United midfield kept losing its shape every other minute.

The French international managed only 59 accurate passes throughout the match and made only one key pass. According to Fotmob, Pogba got a rating of 5.4 out of 10.

Paul Pogba in a deeper role just doesn’t work and now that Sancho and Rashford are finding form, he does not have a place on the wings either.

Solskjaer has a big decision to make regarding the future of the World Cup winner since he needs a chaperone who will always watch his back(like Kante in the France national side) or else he turns out to be a major liability.
