West Ham United drew their Premier League game this weekend 1-1 against Crystal Palace.

The Hammers started the match on the right foot and were duly rewarded by a penalty just before the half-hour mark.

Mark Noble scored from the penalty spot but it was Wilfried Zaha who rescued Crystal Palace once again with an equaliser in the 76th minute of the match.

Palace put in a fine display and many pundits feel that the result is a fair one for both the sides.

West Ham United are now 10th on the league table with 33 points and slowly the London outfit are inching closer to that seventh spot which is currently occupied by Wolves.

Finishing in the top half of the table will be a huge incentive for Manuel Pellegrini in his first season at the club but the manager was certainly not happy with how his team performed after the first 30 minutes.

“The first 45 minutes were very similar to the game against Liverpool,” he told the West Ham official website.

“Palace have very dangerous players going forward but they didn’t make too much damage on our defending and we created a lot of chances.

“And in the second half, we didn’t want to do it, but we ended trying to keep the 1-0. It’s an unlucky ball for the goal, but the draw is fair.”

Pellegrini has had to deal with a long list of injuries ever since the start of the season and taking this into consideration the former Man City boss has done a fine job at West Ham.

Next up, West Ham have a home game when they play Fulham in the Premier League on the 22nd of February.
