Manchester City will welcome Liverpool in the Premier League on Thursday in what will be the first big game of 2019.

Liverpool have opened up a handsome lead at the top of the table and theoretically, the title is now Jurgen Klopp’s to lose.

Man City are third on the league table and if they manage to beat Liverpool then they will be able to claw down that seen point gap.

But a defeat for Jurgen Klopp’s men will be most helpful for Tottenham Hotspur who sit second on the table.

Mauricio Pochettino though has claimed that he will be watching the Man City vs Liverpool game as a neutral.

“In this country, all the people are going to watch the game,” Pochettino said.

“But I will be in a neutral position trying to enjoy the game.

“I don’t care about the result, I just want to enjoy the spectacle and the game.”

“Us and Everton, we were the two teams who suffered the most difficult fixtures in that period,

“So, of course, I congratulate the players because the effort was fantastic.

“I think it was so important (to win) and build another positive run,

“It is three points that make us believe a little bit more in our possibility to be in a very good position in the table.”

Liverpool will have their tales high since they have just beaten Arsenal 5-1 at Anfield but Man City is a totally different ball game.
