Man United dropped points once again in the Premier League this time drawing their latest game against Everton 1-1 away from home.

The Red Devils went behind due to an absolutely silly error from David De Gea but once again it was Bruno Fernandes who came to the rescue of his new side scoring from a half-decent long ranger to bring the match to level terms.

The player was once again on top of his game as he controlled the pace of the match and thanks to him, Man United looked a real threat especially in the second half of the game.

But according to former Man United legend Roy Keane, the Old Trafford outfit are too much dependent on their latest signing while their other big names are shying away from responsibilities.

He told Sky Sports after the match, via MEN: “It’s a worry (United waiting for a spark from Fernandes) because he’s new to the club.

“What United lacked in the second half was real quality. You can make excuses about them playing during the week but it was at home and comfortable enough (the win over Club Brugge).

“(Anthony) Martial was non-existent today and the boy (Mason) Greenwood is learning his trade.

“You cannot just hang your hat on Fernandes all the time. He needs more support around him. We didn’t see that and it’s too strong to say that it’s a backwards step but I was concerned with what I saw from United in the second half.”

Verdict on Bruno Fernandes dependency:

Bruno Fernandes has surely changed the face of Man United since his arrival at the club but even Solskjaer knows fully well that there’s bound to be a slump in form of his new boy sometime in the future.

Right now, Man United are riding high on the success of Fernandes but surely players like Anthony Martial need to shoulder part of the workload so that the Portuguese can keep working his magic.
