Rademel Falcao is slowly reaching the twilight of his career and the prolific goalscorer will sooner or later hang up his boots.

Falcao got his first his big break in Europe with FC Porto where he scored 72 goals in just 87 games thus making him one of the most sort-after strikers in the world.

Then after successful stints with Atletico Madrid and Monaco, the Colombian arrived in the Premier League where he failed miserably.

Loan spells with Manchester United and Chelsea turned out to be disastrous and he eventually went back to Monaco.

And since returning back to France the 32-year-old has managed to score 54 goals in just two seasons.

Now with a couple of seasons of top-flight football left in his career, Falcao has named the player who might take the Colombian batton from him.

Talking about the future stars of Colombian football, Radamel Falcao mentioned the name of Rangers striker Alfredo Morelos who has been in fine form for the Light Blues for more than a year now.

Falcao said: “I think we can look back this week and be encouraged by the young talent that is coming through in Colombia.

“Alfredo Morelos is going to be a star for us. When you look at attitude he has and the commitment he shows, he’s ready to get to the top.

“He could be a big player for Colombia for years to come.

“I liked his work rate and he’s willing to learn. There’s a lot to like when you look at the kids coming through.

“He’s already playing for his country at such a young age and it’s clear he will be a regular for years to come.”

Morelos scored 18 goals in 43 goals for Rangers last season and the 22-year-old has already clocked up 6 goals this campaign.

Radamel Falcao, on the other hand, is expected to leave Monaco in the coming seasons as some reports suggest that David Beckham wants to sign the striker for his new MLS side Inter Miami in order to attract the large South American base in Florida.
