The Telegraph are reporting that Arsenal will make a move for Manchester City’s Raheem Sterling if they can secure a Champions League spot for the 22/23 season.
The Gunners are currently the favourites to finish fourth on the Premier League table and if they can make it back to the Champions League they will try and sign some big-name stars during the summer.
Several names are already being linked with Arsenal and now Raheem Sterling seems to be the latest to join that list. The Gunners though are not the only side in this because Tottenham Hotspur also seem to be interested in the England international.
Can Arsenal get their hands on Sterling ahead of Spurs?
There’s no way Raheem Sterling will join a side who are not in the Champions League so only one of Arsenal or Spurs is going to turn into serious contenders.
If Arsenal slip out of the top four they will themselves scrap the idea of signing the Man City man. Sterling’s current deal with City expires in 2023 so he will potentially be available for a bargain deal but no matter what the price tag, the winger will demand regular starts and top-tier European football.

Spurs have not shown any major sincerity in going after Raheem Sterling but if Kulusevski leaves at the end of this season then Antonio Conte will definitely look into the prospect of signing the Man City man.
Will Pep Guardiola allow the sale of Raheem Sterling?
Right now, there have been no major confirmations that Man City want to part ways with Raheem Sterling but once Haaland joins the club, things can surely take a turn.
Guardiola won’t need Sterling as a false-nine once Haaland comes on board and he also has Jack Grealish as a proper right-winger.
On paper, the manager will have no use of Raheem Sterling from the upcoming season and since players like Grealish and Foden are almost indispensable, Sterling could be turned into the scapegoat.
The 27-year-old will not want to play as a backup forward next season so he might very well want to join a club like Arsenal or Spurs. Sterling has the ability to play on either wing so he can very easily adapt to join at both the North London clubs.
