Ever since Steven Gerrard was appointed as the new manager of Rangers FC, the former England midfielder has gone on to make a series of new signings.

Gerrard’s main focus before the new season begins is to rebuild his current squad and take his team up to the levels of Old Firm rivals Celtic.

But it looks like, the Gers might fail in signing Jason Cummings.

Cummings who originally plays for Nottingham Forest, spend the last half of the previous season on loan at Rangers.

And during his spell with the Light Blues, the striker impressed the club to an extent that Rangers now want to make the deal permanent.

Recent reports though are suggesting otherwise.

According to STV journalist, Raman Bhardwaj, Nottingham Forest and Rangers cannot agree on a transfer valuation for the striker.

He also goes onto add that Jason Cummings want the transfer to go through and wants a permanent move to Ibrox.

Bhardwaj wrote on Twitter: “Hearing that Nottingham Forest and Rangers are quite a bit apart re their valuation of Jason Cummings. Forward wants move to happen.”

Since his move to Rangers during the January transfer window, Jason Cummings has played 18 games in all competitions – scoring 6 goals.
