Rangers FC are set to lose goalkeeper Jak Alnwick to Blackpool during the upcoming summer transfer window – as per the Football Insider.

The report claims: “Rangers goalkeeper Jak Alnwick has an agreement in principle to sign for Blackpool, Football Insider has learned.

“The goalkeeper had been on course for a permanent move to his loan club in January before suffering a broken arm last Boxing Day.

“Sources have told Football Insider that Blackpool have held talks with Alnwick about a pre-contract agreement that would see him join in the summer.”

Jak Alnwick joined Rangers in 2017 but the last two season’s he’s been out on loan, first to Scunthorpe and now to Blackpool, who eventually want to sign him permanently.

Rangers are pretty well stocked up in the goalkeeper’s department which is why Gerrard has decided not to provide him with a new deal for the upcoming season.

This means Alnwick will be a free agent in the summer meaning Blackpool has no problems in signing him.

But there are fears that the League One club might pull the plug on this deal due to the current financial decision more so because the player is currently recovering from a broken arm.

So right now, the player has no future at Rangers next season and is waiting to see to finalise the deal with Blackpool.
