Nicolas Pepe to replace Aubameyang Arsenal EPL
Aubameyang and Mkhitaryan Arsenal news

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang is about to enter the final year of his deal at Arsenal and there’s a strong chance of him moving out of the club in the summer.

The Gunners had reportedly shelved plans to offer him a new contract due to his high wage demands and were ready to sell him off with clubs like Chelsea and Manchester United interested in signing him.

But now as per a report, the player could look to snub an exit by agreeing to the new deal at the Emirates.

This would mean the player will be willing to give up his demands of a massive pay hike and also his hopes of playing in the Champions League in order to commit his future to Mikel Arteta’s plans.

While this reason remains a really strong possibility but there are a number of other speculations as to why Aubameyand might choose to take a U-turn and remain at the club.

Why Aubameyang could agree to a new deal at Arsenal:

The first big reason was recently explained by Paul Merson who had claimed that Aubameyang might be having second thoughts since the likes of Chelsea and Manchester United are struggling to get back amongst the big boys just like his current club.

“Aubameyang is at an age now where he will play every week for Arsenal,” the Sky Sports pundit had said. “If he goes to, say, Manchester United or somewhere else, four or five bad games and you are out of the team.

“He’s going to play every week at Arsenal and when you are coming towards the end of your career, two or three years to go, you have got to enjoy your football and play.

“If I were Aubameyang’s agent I would be stressing that he is at one of the best clubs in the world, a phenomenal football club that has as much chance as anybody, bar Manchester City and Liverpool, winning something. For me, I would stay.”

Apart from this, the player is currently a massive superstar at Arsenal but we are not sure if he will get the same kind of treatment if he was to move out of the Emirates at the end of this season.

And finally, the player is one of the first names of Arteta’s teamsheets this season and will continue to be so in the next campaign as well. But if he was to join a team like Man United or Chelsea, he will most certainly have to fight for his place in the starting line-up.
