Rangers vs Leipzig

Rangers FC picked up their third win of the Premiership season beating St Johnstone 5-1 this Sunday.

But full-back Jon Flanagan is not particularly happy with the win.

While Flanagan is delighted that the forward had managed to score five goals past St Johnstone but the fact that his team failed to keep a clean sheet is what is bugging the summer signing.

Flanagan like most other defenders feel that keeping a clean sheet is the closest they can come to scoring a goal and so when they let one slip, that is something that bothers them for a long time.

And speaking after the win, Jon Flanagan said:

“The lads were excellent today, us defenders and Greegsy (Allan McGregor) are just a bit gutted we conceded a goal but that is football, it happens. We will take the win and we are delighted with that.”

But Steven Gerrard has tried to shield his players by claiming that whenever a player makes mistake on the field it is down to his managerial decision.

Now sitting pretty on the second spot of the league table, Rangers shift their focus to the Scottish League Cup where they will take on Ayr in the quarter-finals on Wednesday.
