West Ham United midfielder Declan Rice is once again set to be one of the top transfer targets this summer and now even non-English clubs might be interested in signing him – as per The Daily Mail.

Real Madrid had shown interest in making a move for Rice last year and everyone got to know this when former West Ham defender Scott Minto revealed the name of the La Liga giants.

“I’m hearing that even Real Madrid are knocking on the door and speaking to his family,” Minto had said before the start of the 19-20 season. “I’m not going to tell you who, but it’s a reliable source.”

And as per the report, Madrid are expected to reignite their interest in Declan Rice this summer as well which is great news for the Hammers management.

Last year, West Ham refused to part ways with the 21-year-old but there have been rumours that the club are about to change their attitude this time around since they are badly in need of funds for the summer transfer window.

And this is why manager David Moyes has chosen to put Rice up for sale primarily since the England international will attract a large number of suitors.

Is Declan Rice heading to Real Madrid?

Right now there are not many rumours linking the West Ham United man to the Bernabeu but it’s no secret that Zidane is looking for a central midfielder this summer.

The Los Blancos are said to be targeting Chelsea’s N’Golo Kante but Frank Lampard is not too keen to part ways with the World Cup winner any time soon.

So if that transfer falls apart then there’s every chance Real Madrid might shift their focus to Declan Rice.

The 21-year-old has four years left on his current deal with the Hammers which is why the London club is expected to quote around £70million for the midfielder. And to be honest, this price tag should not be a big issue for the Spanish side.

West Ham will be more than happy to send Declan Rice away from the Premier League next season but the likes of Chelsea, Man United and Arsenal will not exactly share the same sentiments since all of them have been linked with the talented midfielder for over a year now.
