Real Madrid announced Julen Lopentegui as their new manager earlier this week as a result of which the Spaniard was promptly sacked as the head coach of the Spain national team just before the World Cup began on Thursday.

While many people have criticized Real Madrid’s decision of announcing their new manager right before the World Cup began which resulted in Lopetegui losing his job but the fact of the matter is Julen Lopetegui has now taken charge of the Los Blancos with immediate effect.

And within days of the 51-year-old being appointed as the new boss at the Bernabeu, the Spanish media has already dived into his transfer priorities.

According to Spanish outlet Don Balon, Lopetegui has already told Florentino Perez about the players he wants to bring in during the summer transfer window and it seems that Chelsea playmaker Eden Hazard is not a part of it.

Yes, Don Balon are claiming that Julen Lopetegui is not interested in signing the Belgium International as he feels that he has enough attacking firepower in his current squad.

Instead of signing Hazard, the new Real Madrid boss wants to give Marco Asensio a chance to prove his mettle next campaign.

Chelsea had a poor last season which saw them finish out of the top four in the Premier League table but that did not stop Eden Hazard from showing his capabilities.

The playmaker netted 17 goals and provided 13 assists for the Blues last season.

This bit of news no matter how absurd it might be will surely bring some relief to Chelsea who are still trying to solve their own managerial issue.
