Sokratis and David were both at fault as Arsenal conceded 2 goals in the second half vs Watford and speaking after the match, Sokratis was ready to take the blame of the 2-2 draw upon himself.

Sokratis said(as reported by Sky Sports): “I think that I cost the game for the team. It was my mistake for something simple that I don’t have to do.

“I think this was the problem why we lose the three points. This is all about our responsibility and we have to do better. It was my mistake and today without my mistake, we would take the three points.

“I don’t want to speak about others. Today it was my mistake and this cost the game. Nothing else. The other guys tried their best. I don’t have to do this mistake.

“Of course. I apologised because today I cost the game for the team and I have to work harder,

“I know up to this moment I didn’t have a mistake, I didn’t do nothing. Everything was near to perfect. We didn’t have the same pace in the second half as in the first half.

“But if we didn’t do these mistakes, I don’t think we draw. Of course, they had other chances to score more, but if we didn’t do these mistakes then nothing happens.”

And many had believed that Sokratis would be dropped for the clash vs Eintracht now that Rob Holding is fit to be selected.

Now though there have been reports that Holding is being no guarantees that he will be an automatic chose to replace either Sokratis or David Luiz.

This means that not only the current duo should keep their place in the first XI on Thursday in the Europa League but Holding will have to start from scratch in order to regain his place.

Mavropanos has also returned back to full fitness and is available for selection vs Eintracht but we believe that the manager will stick with the partnership of Luiz and Sokratis especially since Arsenal will be playing away from home.
