Romelu Lukaku Man United vs Barcelona

Man United knocked PSG out of the Champions League in sensational fashion and this victory is being touted by many as the best game for the Red Devils since Sir Alex left.

Romelu Lukaku and co went into this game 2-0 down from the first leg and none really gave them chance.

More so since Solskjaer was without 10 of his first team players and the substitutes bench consisted of a bunch of teenagers.

But the Red Devils were not ready to give up without a fight as Romelu Lukaku pounced on an error and put his team infront in the second minute of the match.

PSG though managed to get a grip of the match and levelled up the game at 1-1 through Bernat just 10 minutes later.

And just when it was looking like the Parisian would be going in for the kill, Gigi Buffon failed to hold onto a Rashford long ranger and Romelu Lukaku was there to pounce once again.

United were awarded a controversial penalty in injury team which helped them knock out PSG and it was indeed a special night for Romelu Lukaku.

With the brace, the Belgium international has now managed to equal Cristiano Ronaldo’s record of scoring two goals in three consecutive games.

Ronaldo managed this feat against Aston Villa, Wigan and Reading but now Romelu Lukaku now has the change to go one better when Man United take on Arsenal this weekend.

The forward had really endured a tough time under Solskjaer – having to play as a substitute more often than not but during the past few games, Romelu Lukaku has really upped his game and it finally looks like the Belgian is fulfilled the potential for which the club have paid so much money.

Next up, Man United take on Arsenal and Lukaku is once again a guaranteed starter in that match.
