Ryan Jack will miss the Villarreal game

Rangers FC midfielder Ryan Jack was on the receiving end of a horrifying tackle from Motherwell’s Cedric Kipre last December and now the 26-year-old has lashed out at the defender.

The injury put an abrupt end to Jack’s debut season at Rangers as the midfielder had to undergo a knee surgery.

But now that he back under new manager Steven Gerrard, Ryan Jack has gone on to claim that Kipre knew exactly what he was doing.

Jack said: “I thought it was a shocking tackle, to be honest.

“There is no point me sitting and saying I thought it was a good challenge or an unlucky challenge, I thought he waited until I got the ball and then he knew he had a chance to hurt me and he did.

“I’ve watched it back and every time I saw it it’s not nice. It’s never nice to watch back and see yourself get injured.”

The Motherwell defender though is not the only one who has bared the brunt of the midfielder as Ryan Jack had also a thing or two to say about his former manager Graeme Murty.

After the incident had occurred instead of backing up his player, Murty had given a very diplomatic answer claiming that the tackle was more of coming together rather than a nasty challenge.

Now after all these months, Ryan Jack has claimed“Everyone obviously has different opinions.

“If you sat 10 people, maybe five would say it was a shocking tackle and five would say it wasn’t too bad.

“If I got asked at the time it would have been the same, I thought it was a shocking tackle at the time and I do still think it was a shocking tackle.

“Graeme, like any other manager, just rang me and said it’s bad news, all the best, the club will look after you, the medical team will look after you and we’ll stay strong around you to make sure that you return.”
