West Ham United are reportedly in the process of making a move for West Brom defender Ahmed Hegazi after his impressive performance in the World Cup.
Hegazi has been one of the better players in the Egyptian squad for the 2018 World Cup and his performances have caught the eye of Manuel Pellegrini.
Hegazi was signed by West Brom last summer on a loan deal from Egyptian side Al Ahly in the summer of the 2017 but following his impressive outing, the Baggies did not waste any time and made the loan move permanent during December.
Ahmed Hegazi appeared in every Premier League game for West Brom last season but still, the Baggies fell into the clutches of relegation and have been demoted to the Championship.
Reports suggest that Hegazi has a £10 million release clause in his contract and the Hammers are more than willing to meet it.
West Ham though are not the only club interested in signing Ahmed Hegazi as reports suggest that Wolves are also planning to make a move for the player during the coming weeks.
Wolves have gained promotion to the Premier League this summer but if West Ham United were to launch a bid for Ahmed Hegazi then surely it will be Manuel Pellegrini’s side who will come out on top.
