Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has made it clear that Ryan Kent will only head out on a permanent move which meant that the Gers were on the verge of missing out on him.
During the start of the summer, Rangers were confident that they would be able to bring back the winger for another loan spell but clearly, Jurgen Klopp is against the idea.
Recently the German boss had said(as reported): “It(the loan spell) helped a lot. He came back a completely a different player.
“It was a very important year. It helped, good club, good manager and means good competition. Exactly the right thing for him at the right moment. But going back? (Only) If Rangers can buy him. The time is over giving him on loan.
“At a specific age, a player needs to find a place to settle and stuff like this. But we will see. A loan is not planned.”
As per reports, Liverpool want around 10 million pounds for the sale of Ryan Kent which is something that the Teddy Bears cannot afford to pay.
And now even Rangers boss Steven Gerrard seems to have accepted defeat.
“Jurgen has come out and given the answer that will come out of my mouth anyway. It has been addressed and we move on.
“The end of it? Where we are right now, yes. We respect Liverpool’s stance and we thank them very much for allowing us to work with Ryan for a year.”
“We have obviously got a Liverpool player at the moment in Sheyi Ojo who has started very well.
“I had a good conversation on the phone with Jurgen a few days ago and we totally respect Liverpool’s position on it.”
