Samir Nasri’s move to West Ham United hangs in the balance as the former Arsenal man tries to prove his worth to Manuel Pellegrini.

Samir Nasri has not played football since a 12-month WADA ban on his last year but now the midfielder is hoping to return back to the Premier League.

Nasri has spent the largest chunk of his footballing career in England first with Arsenal and then with Manchester City.

But ever since he left the Citizens in 2017, his career has been on a steady decline.

Samir Nasri has been training with the West Ham squad since the past week in the hopes that the London club will offer him a new deal.

And according to Sky Sports pundit Carlton Cole, three people hold the key to hand Samir Nasri a contract at West Ham United.

“I think the manager has a good relationship with him,” Cole told Sky Sports.

“We know his class, he’s a classy player.

“He will bring something different to the squad and he has that experience too.

“It will be a great addition to the squad but it depends what the manager wants and what the owners want.”

According to Cole, manager Manuel Pellegrini will play a huge role in convincing owners David Gold and David Sullivan to bring in Samir Nasri.

Pellegrini has obviously worked closely with the attacking midfielder during their time at Manchester City and it was the Hammers boss who wanted Samir Nasri at the London stadium in the first place.

West Ham made a disastrous season to the new season but they have finally managed to crawl out of the relegation zone and are currently 13th on the league table with 12 points.
