Rangers will take on Celtic in the Old Firm Derby this weekend and it will be more of a moral victory if the Gers can pick up a win at Ibrox.

Celtic have already won the Premiership so in theory, this game does not hold much importance in respect of the title race.

This is the fourth time that Rangers and Celtic will go head-to-head this season and over the years many people have complained that the frequency of the Old Firm Derby has made the clash boring.

But speaking before the Old Firm Derby, Rangers midfielder Scott Airfield has claimed that this battle is the “best game in the world”

Arfield told the Mirror: “It’s the best. In my opinion, it’s the best game in the world. In terms of history and magnitude, it’s out on its own.

“Many people in England say bad things about Scottish football and, in particular, the number of times you play the same opposition.

“But the best thing about it is that you get this game four times a season. And to get the chance to play this game four times is magnificent. It’s the greatest game.

“It’s the game you look for, the noise levels, the rivalry, it’s the best. For any football fan who has not experienced it, you absolutely have to do so.

“I think we have [closed the gap on Celtic]. It does take time,

“But we are managing to finish as well as possible. We want to finish as well as possible and have a right good go again.”

The last Old Firm Derby was played at Celtic Park which the Hopps ended up winning 2-1.

But this match was in the limelight for all the suspensions and red cards instead of the football. And everyone is hoping that both the sides can keep aside the tempers this Sunday and focus solely on the match.
