Celtic beat Rangers FC in the previous Old Firm Derby held last weekend and Steven Gerrard’s men played most of the game with 10 men.

Alfredo Morelos picked up a red card for elbowing Scott Brown in the first half and then after the final whistle it was Andy Halliday who was shown a red card getting into a scuffle with Brown.

While the first red card was a clear offence from Morelos, but the second was a bit controversial since Andy Halliday was trying to prevent a frantic celebration from Scott Brown infront of the Rangers fans.

The midfielder was clearly the instigator during both the offences but ultimately it was Rangers who had to pay the price with a 2-1 loss.

While most pundits have chosen to back the Celtic captain but the SFA have chosen not to take the matter lightly citing Scott Brown in a report which names both clubs for unruly behaviour.

This report from the SFA has brought about a lot of criticism from the Celtic fans who have claimed that the governing body has caved in under pressure from Steven Gerrard and Rangers.

But amongst all this BBC journalist Tom English has come out to make a sensational claim in which he has said that Scott Brown was, in fact, trying to celebrate with the Celtic fans after the final whistle and not the other way around.

A lot of words have been exchanged between both the clubs after the controversial game but clearly Celtic have come out as the winners in this battle given they have more or less secured another Premiership trophy after beating their arch-rivals.
