Arsenal take on Olympiacos in the Europa League on Thursday and Sead Kolasinac has been ruled out with a ‘significant injury’.

Kieran Tierney has already been ruled out for the next couple of weeks after dislocating his shoulder meaning up until now, Sead Kolasinac was the only fully fit left-back available at Arteta’s disposal.

But this past weekend, the Bosnian injured himself during Arsenal’s 3-2 win over Everton in the Premier League as he had to be taken off the pitch pretty early on in the match.

And now the club have confirmed that the full-back has picked up a shoulder injury which has ruled him out of the Europa League clash.

The latest team news states: “Sead suffered a significant right shoulder injury during Everton (h) on Sunday. He will undergo further specialist assessments during this week.”

Arsenal have claimed that their medical staff are yet to fully asses the injury means things could very well turn bad to worse if the injury is big enough.

Mikel Arteta though should not be worried too much since the manager has an apt backup in the form of young Bukayo Saka who has done pretty well in this role in the absence of both Tierney and Kolasinac.

But surely this fresh injury will surely be a big personal blow for the defender since the Everton game was his first appearance in six weeks following an ankle problem.

It’s still unsure as to when Sead Kolasinac will be fully fit but the club have confirmed that Kieran Tierney could be back to full training by the end of this week which means the summer signing could be back in the squad when Arsenal take on West Ham United in the Premier League on the 7th of March.

And till then, Bukayo Saka will have to hold the fort for the North London club against Olympiacos and against Portsmouth in the FA Cup.
