Rangers won the first leg of the second qualifying round in the Europa League vs FC Progres last night and there have one step into the next round.

Joe Aribo opened the scoring in the 20th minute of the match and then nine minutes into the second half, loanee Sheyi Ojo scored a wonderful effort from distance to put the game to bed.

A 2-0 lead should be enough for Rangers to move across the line in the second half but Sheyi Ojo has hinted that the Gers should have scored a few more goals atleast.

Speaking after the match, Ojo told the club’s official website: “The main objective today was to get a result today and then keep us in a good aggregate ahead of the second leg.

“I feel that we’ve done that, but obviously we are disappointed because we could have scored more but we are looking forward to the next game.

“We were one up at half time and the gaffer has told us that he wants us to go and get more goals.

“Luckily enough I was able to help the team with the second goal, but like I said we were disappointed to not get more goals.

“We’ve got to take the positives from the game and look forward to the next leg.

“We’ve been working a lot on short corners in training and (Steven) Davis has given me the ball and you know, the gaffer and everyone are always telling me to express myself when I get the ball and I was able to do that and luckily it went in.

“It was amazing. You can tell by my reaction and my celebration that I am happy to help the team as much as I can.

“Obviously scoring in the first game and then again today, I’m just trying to help the team with goals and assists.

“We created so many chances, and we’d like to be a little bit more clinical as a team, but I think that will come as we’re still in preseason.”
