Manchester United seem to have found a new gear under Ole Gunnar Solskjkaer and the likes of Paul Pogba and Marcus Rashford seem to be flourishing under the caretaker boss.

Pogba has been given that much desired free role in the midfield which has clearly impacted his game in a positive way and the same could be said about Marcus Rashford.

Under Jose Mourinho, Marcus Rashford did manage to see a lot of game time but most of it was when he played out wide.

But ever since Solskjaer has taken charge of the club, the caretaker boss has chosen to use the England international as his main frontman in order to better use his rapid pace and skill to torment defenders.

This clearly has worked wonders and Ole has now revealed what he keeps telling Marcus Rashford.

“I keep battering him with it that he should also score as many goals as Rom [Lukaku] after training sessions [are] finished,” Solskjaer said.

“He should always get them simple tap-ins, finishes – like Rom’s scored in the last few games.

“Rashy’s goals sometimes are worldies but you see improvement, maturity and the change in Cristiano’s goals from when he was young to now,

“He scores more from inside the box and that’s what Rashy has to improve on. He’ll get five to ten extra goals from [this].”

The rise of Marcus Rashford meant Romelu Lukaku had fallen down the pecking order but owing to the vast number of injuries, the Belgian international has recently seen a fair amount of game time.

But here too Solskjaer has worked his magic wherein instead of pushing Marcus Rashford wider, the caretaker boss has chosen to play both of them up front and in a sense, the boss has given them free roles up front.

Before the Arsenal game, Marcus Rashford had played 25 games in the Premier League this season for Man United scoring nine goals and providing seven assists but Ole clearly thinks he can do better.

Against Arsenal too, both Lukaku and Rashford are expected to start up front and even Anthony Martial will be joining the picture as the player has now returned back to full training.
