Tottenham Hotspur had a terrible summer transfer window where they failed to sign even a single player but that hasn’t dented the spirits of the team going into the new season.

Spurs have become the first club that have failed to sign a single player during the transfer window since it was started back in 2003.

But it seems that the London outfit have left all those woes behind and are already planning for the January transfer window.

According to the latest reports, Mauricio Pochettino’s side are looking to sign Celtic FC defender Kieran Tierney after failing to bring him on board during the summer.

The 21-year-old left-back has been the subject of interest from Spurs for a long time now and at one point Tierney was even close to moving to the English Premier League.

But then Celtic demanded £20 million for the player which immediately affected the interest from Spurs.

Now though reports are claiming that Spurs are back in the hunt for Kieran Tierney as the left-back would now be available for £10 million.

Celtic FC failed to qualify for the Champions League after getting knocked out of the qualifiers by AEK Athens and now the Hoops needing to make up a £27m shortfall in income could be forced to sell off Kieran Tierney at the start of the new year.

The Premier League outfit are hopeful that a bid in the region of £10 million would be enough to bring the youngster to London.
