Rangers forward Alfredo Morelos has been in fine form for the Gers over the past two seasons and it finally looks like he will be moving out of the club.

So far this season, Morelos has netted 28 goals in just 35 games for Rangers and the 23-year-old had already expressed his desire to play in the Premier League so time in the future.

And Danny Mills has already mentioned that the Colombian forward will be moving out of the Ibrox sooner or later.

Mills told Football Insider: “Yeah, definitely. It looks like Morelos will go at some point, sooner rather than later.

“So why would you let Jermain Defoe go? There’s no need to do that. He’s not going to be on extortionate money at his age.

“You’ve got to keep as many players like that around as possible.”

And now it looks like Tottenham Hotspur have set their sights on Alfredo Morelos as a replacement to the injured Harry Kane.

Spurs are already in the hunt to sign Krzysztof Piątek as their backup striker for the rest of the season but with Chelsea now entering the race to sign the AC Milan striker, things have surely gotten a bit tougher for Jose Mourinho.

And many think this is why the Lilywhites boss has shifted his focus to Morelos.

Rangers were quoting around 10-12 million pounds for the 23-year-old last summer and this is an amount which will not burn a hole in Daniel Levy’s pocket. And also if the Premier League club are actually serious about signing the forward then there’s very little Gerrard can do to hold onto him.

But what remains to be seen if whether the London club can actually wrap up the whole transfer before the transfer window shuts down before the end of this week.
