3-4-2-1 Spurs’ predicted line up vs Leicester City: Richarlison gets a start?

Antonio Conte Spurs

Spurs beat Manchester City in the Premier League and those superb three points mean the Lilywhites are still very much in the race for a top-four finish.

Spurs are currently just one point behind fourth-placed Newcastle United and next up, they welcome Leicester City at home. A loss or a draw will not be the end of the world for Tottenham but they have played one game more than Newcastle and Man United so three points will be the priority for the North London side.

Also, Brighton are five points behind them but they have played two games less so even the Seagulls can catch up to them and move into the fifth position within a fortnight.

Antonio Conte was not on the touchline because he is recovering from surgery but the manager’s absence did not deter the Spurs players even one bit. Tottenham’s assistant manager Cristian Stellini did a fine job handling all the substitutions vs Man City and he will keep up the good work until Conte is out.

Leicester City have won just one game in their previous six league outings and currently, they are 14th on the table. They won 4-2 vs Aston Villa last weekend but we highly doubt if the Foxes will be able to stand up against Spurs or not.

Tottenham’s team news and injuries:

Cristian Romero picked up a red card against Manchester City which means he will be suspended this weekend. This is a bit of an issue for Antonio Conte because Romero has been one of the standout players for Spurs this season but thankfully, the manager has Davinson Sanchez as backup.

Clement Lenglet is also an option but we don’t think Antonio Conte is going to use him.

Ivan Perisic did not have the best of games on Sunday and it won’t be a surprise if the Croatian international is replaced by young Sessegnon this weekend.

The pairing of Hojbjerg and Bentancur has been stellar for Tottenham this season and they will once again keep Yves Bissouma on the bench.

Richarlison was an unused sub against City but Conte might just hand the Brazilian a start, in place of Son. Son has not been at his best this season so it won’t be a surprise if he drops to the bench.

Lucas Moura is still recovering from an Achilles injury and while he has returned to training, we don’t think the winger will be ready to feature against Leicester City.

Spurs predicted line up vs Leicester City:

Predicted Starting Line up(3-4-2-1): Lloris; Davies, Eric Dier, Sanchez; Hojbjerg, Bentancur, Sessegnon/Perisic, Emerson; Richarlison/Son, Kulusevski; Harry Kane.
