The LilyWhites fans’ worst nightmare has come true as Spurs have confirmed that Harry Kane is set to miss this weekend’s game against Man Utd due to a hamstring injury.

The back-to-back Golden Boot winner suffered a minor hamstring strain against Liverpool last weekend and also did not feature against the Hammers during midweek. Kane was taken off in the dying minutes at Wembley last Sunday and while walking away he was seen clutching his hamstring. But the Spurs manager assured everyone that there was nothing to worry about.

The alarm bells though started ringing when Kane did not feature in the Carabao Cup draw and Fernando Llorente was taken off the pitch that night when Spurs were trailing in the game. This made us wonder that Pochettinho might be saving Llorente for this weekend.

And now the Spurs Twitter handle has confirmed that the English International is suffering from a minor strain to his left hamstring.

“Harry Kane underwent assessment and investigation earlier this week, which confirmed a minor strain to the left hamstring,” the tweet read.
