Manchester United will take on Tottenham on the 13th of January at Wembley.
And the Spurs vs Man United game will be the first big test for the Red Devils under caretaker boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.
Ever since the Norwegian took charge of the club, Man United have been in red-hot form – scoring 16 goals in just five games and picking up wins in each and every one of them.
But fans, as well as the pundits, are looking at the Spurs vs Man United before their give their final verdict on the new manager.
While the experts feel, Solskjaer will make a few tweaks for the high profile clash, Mike Phelan has revealed just how the Red Devils will play during the Spurs vs Man United game.
“We’re in a rich vein of form now. What we have asked them to do, the players have done,” Phelan said after the midweek win against Newcastle(as reported by MEN).
“There are lots of areas of the game we can improve on.
“That’s the beauty of it now. We can actually analyse the games that we have played and sometimes we have been fantastic going forward and a little bit sloppy defending.
“But the players now know both sides of the coin so we can work on that now and that will be our intention leading up to the Tottenham game because that will be a different test.
“But it’s Wembley – I’m sure Manchester United players love Wembley.
“I think it’s going to be a great football match and, obviously, Manchester United have to turn up and do what we’re doing and do more and I think we can do that.”
Man United are sixth on the Premier League table and a win for then will help maintain that six-point gap with Chelsea who occupy the final Champions League spot on the table.
Spurs are third on the table and like Man United, they too will be able to hold onto their spot if they pick up all three points against Solskjaer’s men.
