Rangers are expected to bring in a couple of new players during the summer transfer window and right now the club have been linked with a series of top-class names.

While Celtic first have to sort out their managerial issue, but the Gers can straightaway dive into the transfer market and start signing players.

But there’s a possibility that the whole process might not go as smoothly.

A couple of weeks ago, Rangers boss Steven Gerrard had claimed that he still does not know how much money he will get to spend during the summer window.

“I think that’s probably a question you’d have to ask the board or Dave King. I don’t know exactly where we stand in terms of budgets and stuff just yet but I’m sure I will in due time.” Gerrard had said.

But it was fine because there was still some time left for the 2018-19 season to end and everyone was sure that Dave King would reveal the budget to his manager at the proper moment.

But recently Gary McAllister was asked the same question to which he had a similar reply to that of Steven Gerrard.

He said: “I don’t think it comes down to a number – any player we’ve tried to get here the board and owners have been very supportive.”

And now some of the Rangers fans have started panicking.

Despite making a number of signings, the Gers have failed to get anywhere close to Celtic in the Premiership this season which means that the business which they do this summer will be absolutely crucial.

And for that to happen, one would expect to have a long planning process but here the summer transfer window is just around the corner and the manager does not even know the budget that he will be allowed to spend.
