Rangers FC are expected to land Liverpool youngster Curtis Jones on loan in the summer transfer window all thanks to Steven Gerrard.

Curtis Jones is rated highly by Liverpool and this season he has caught a lot of attention while playing in the cup competitions for the Anfield outfit.

Rangers tried to sign the player during the January transfer window and had even made two offers for the 19-year-old but someone they failed to bring him in.

But next season, there’s a big chance that the Liverpool born lad will be playing for Rangers FC thanks to one Steven Gerrard.

According to Noel Whelan, Steven Gerrard and Jurgen Klopp share a very healthy relationship which is why the Liverpool manager can be assured that his youngsters will be in good hands if they were to join the Gers.

Whelan told Football Insider“The question is whether Jurgen Klopp thinks a year at Rangers is going to be more beneficial to his progression player as it is at Liverpool.

“Look, I think Jurgen Klopp and Steven Gerrard will have a good relationship, that’s for sure, and if Jurgen can help Steven in any way possible, I think he will.

“I think the advantage that Steven Gerrard has.”

Curtis Jones has netted nine and assisted five goals in 14 Premier League 2 games and he’s been described as one of the finest talents to have come out of the Liverpool academy in some time.

So clearly if Steven Gerrard can manage to bring him in on loan next season then it will be a great transfer by the Ibrox outfit.
