Liverpool midfielder Thiago picked up an injury during their season opener and things are certainly not looking good for him.
The midfielder started the Fulham game in fine form but he limped off the pitch in the 51st minute with a hamstring issue and the more worrying sign was that after the match Jurgen Klopp failed to provide any concrete update on his injury.
On Monday, Goal’s Liverpool correspondent Neil Jones claimed that the midfielder has undergone scans and there’s a chance he could be on the sidelines for a couple of weeks.
He wrote: “The Spaniard underwent a scan on Sunday, and Liverpool will hope to have caught the injury early, meaning a couple of weeks out, as opposed to four or more.”

Will the injury to Thiago mess things up for Liverpool?
Despite this update, it’s still not clear just how long Thiago will be missing from action but one thing’s for sure, he will not be fit for the Palace or the Man United games.
Thankfully, Naby Keita will be back to full fitness by the end of this week so he will be available for selection but the Guinean has been hit and miss during his time in England.
This is not the first time Thiago has been out with an unexpected injury because last season, he missed as many as 13 games due to various injury setbacks.
Apart from him, Klopp does not have any other top-class creative midfielder so these absences will not go down well with the manager.
Jurgen Klopp has very boldly admitted that he will not make any panic buys but if Thiago is out for more than three weeks then there’s every chance Liverpool will go out in the market in search of a new midfielder.
Last season, the league was decided by just a single point so every dropped point can prove to be catastrophic for Liverpool. They have already dropped two points on Saturday so Klopp will not want any more slip-ups due to a lack of a creative fulcrum in his side.
