Tottenham Hotspur restart their English Premier League campaign as they welcome Manchester United in a Friday night fixture.

Right before the lockdown, Jose Mourinho had a number of injury concerns, the biggest of which was captain Harry Kane. But the forward has used this shutdown to his advantage and will be available for selection when Tottenham Hotspur take on Man United.

Apart from Kane, the Lilywhites will also welcome back Son and Moussa Sissoko both of whom are fit to play. But what remains to be seen if the trio has full gas in their tanks or will they only play the first two or three quarters of the match on Friday.

Mourinho told the press on Thursday: “We have little things (injuries) but we are going to wait until tomorrow [before ruling them in or out].

“Of course [Japhet] Tanganga has a stress fracture for a few months now and of course he didn’t recover during this period, and we have some little problems that we have to analyse before we make a decision.

“But the ones that had the surgeries, Kane, Son and Sissoko, these three they recovered and they are ready to play.

“Kane hasn’t played football for more than six months, so again he is working extremely well. I can tell you no problem he is going to start the game.

“Does harry have 90, 80, 70, 60 minutes in him? Only the game will tell us that. Is Harry on his top form? For him, I don’t know. It’s been around six months without a football match, but he works extremely well. He is an amazing professional and he’s going to start tomorrow.”

This is a massive boost for the Tottenham Hotspur manager who will be looking to pick up all three points against his former employers.

Harry Kane has been absent of action since the start of the new year when he ruptured his thigh muscle and till date has missed 14 matches this campaign for the London side.

The absence of Dele Alli will undoubtedly be a bit of a setback for Mourinho but if the Lilywhites can manage to overcome the Manchester United test then they will once again be back in the top-four race.
