Liverpool take on Chelsea in the Carabao Cup final on 25th of February and Trent Alexander-Arnold will be unavailable for the Wembley trip.

Trent was substituted at half-time during last weekend’s win over Burnley and now reports in England have informed that the right-back has sustained a knee injury which will keep him on the sidelines for a few weeks.

The England international provided an assist during the 3-1 win and his injury has come at the same time when young Conor Bradley is on compassionate leave following his father’s demise.

Bradley has been missing since his fine display against Chelsea in the Premier League but thankfully, he’s come back to training so he will be available for the final.

Trent Alexander-Arnold missed Tuesday’s training session and while Klopp has Conor Bradley who plays on the right-hand side, the manager will be a bit sceptical about using him at Wembley.

The Carabao Cup final is a shot at silverware and using a 20-year-old Northern Irishman will be a major gamble. He has been named Liverpool’s Player of the Month for January but the reality is that he has played just 151 minutes of league football this campaign.

Conor Bradley scored one and assisted two goals the last time these two sides met at the end of January but it’s not always that players like Raheem Sterling and Chilwell have bad days on the pitch.

Chelsea, since that loss, have picked up two wins out of three and in these three matches, they have scored eight goals. They face Man City this weekend and if Poch’s side can come up with a fine performance in that match they will have their tails up before the final.

Trent Alexander-Arnold has had six goal contributions in the EPL this season and his absence, especially in the final, this is a massive blow for the Liverpool manager. If Bradley makes a poor start to the final then Jurgen Klopp won’t have a backup right-back to come off the bench and handle things.

Thankfully, not everything is bad news because Mo Salah has fully recovered from his injury and Egyptian has started training with the rest of the squad which means he will be available for when Liverpool head to Wembley.
