Arsenal were held to a 1-1 draw at home in the Premier League this weekend by Wolves and after the match, the fans clearly showed their discontent with the side.

The Gunners let slip a 1-0 lead meaning they have once again dropped points at home and this is something that the home crowd were not too pleased about.

In the second half, it was Wolves who were the better side and could have easily walked away with all three points.

And this is why, when the final whistle blew in the 94th minutes, the Emirates stadium echoed in grunts and boos which clearly was unsettling to Unai Emery.

After the match, the Gunners boss was asked what he felt about the fans reaction to which he chose to defend his players and also explain how his team intends to improve.

Emery told Arsenal’s official website: “I am frustrated with the result and also because we lost two very good opportunities at home against two teams who we didn’t win against last season either. But I think the players tried and worked.

“They did all we spoke about before the game but we lost a very good opportunity after we went 1-0 up.

“We can improve. We must improve that balance defensively. Above all, we deserved more.

“The key was to have more clear chances to score the second goal and get the result for us. Last week at home, we were also winning 2-0 and in two different situations, we conceded two goals.

“The key at the moment is not the goals we concede, it’s the difference between our goals and the opposition’s goals.

“I am very demanding of myself. I feel every time my responsibility to work and to come back from the result with the next matches.”

After this, Unai Emery will take his squad and fly out to Portugal in order to take on Vitoria in the Europa League.
