Manchester United are in the process of finding their next manager after Jose Mourinho was sacked last Tuesday.

While some reports claim Zinedine Zidane could take charge of Manchester United next summer but almost everyone knows that the Red Devils have marked Mauricio Pochettino as their next possible boss.

Pochettino has worked wonders with Spurs that too on a shoestring budget and right now his team’s playing style is the closest to what the Red Devils used to play under Fergie.

Spurs have failed to bring in a single new player during the summer transfer window yet they are still sitting third on the Premier League table.

And even Wayne Rooney wants the current Spurs boss to take charge of Man United next season.

The former Man United forward was a pundit for BT Sport during Man United’s 5-1 win vs Cardiff City and it was here that the Englishman expressed his wish.

Ole Solskjaer is currently the caretaker boss at the club until the end of the season and the Norwegian has made an impressive start to his time at the club.

Some claim that it will be hard for Mauricio Pochettino to resist the temptation when Man United come calling but Spurs fans feel that all this attention is sure to cloud the mind of their manager which in turn might severely impact their team’s performance this season.

Spurs beat Everton 6-2 this Sunday while Man United kicked off the Solskjaer regime with a 5-1 win over Cardiff.

Manchester United have a string of not-so-tough games coming up but their game of the new year will be against Tottenham Hotspur.

And Spurs, on the other hand, will have to take on Chelsea in the EFL Cup just days before they host Man United.
