West Ham United have reached the final stages of discussion to sign Lazio midfielder Felipe Anderson – but there is one problem.

The Hammers have suffered a huge blow after it was reported that Manuel Lanzini would miss the whole of the 2018-19 season with a knee injury. Now the major headache for Manuel Pellegrini is with the absence of Lanzini the manager has been fallen really short in the creative department.

So as and when Felipe Anderson’s move goes through it will without a doubt be a perfect buy given the fact that the Brazilian operates in a similar position to that of Lanzini.

Reports suggest that Felipe Anderson has told West Ham United that he wishes to join them during the summer but the Hammers and Lazio are yet to agree on a crucial part of the deal.

Lazio and West Ham are negotiating on the percentage of any future sale that the Serie A side will receive.

And this percentage has been settled upon, then West Ham United’s will move fast in trying to bring Felipe Anderson to the London stadium before the pre-season.

The 25-year-old played 32 games in all competitions for Lazio last season – scoring 8 goals which is a great return for an attacking midfielder.

Felipe Anderson is known in the Serie A for his pace who has excellent dribbling skills which suggests that the Brazilian can become a perfect partner for Marko Arnautovic who has very contrasting characteristics to that of Anderson.
