West Ham United and Newcastle United are looking to make a move for central midfielder Aaron Mooy.

Aaron Mooy had signed for Manchester City in 2016 but the Australian was never quite able to break through into the first team squad.

And in 2017 he joined Huddersfield Town permanently after a series of loan spells with the Terriers.

During the 2016/17 Championship campaign, Aaron Mooy was a key figure in Huddersfield promotion push but the midfielder has not been able to have that same impact this season in the top division though.

Huddersfield have already been relegated to the Championship and now it looks like there is a mad scramble to sign Aaron Mooy.

A number of Premier League clubs have lined up for the signature of the 28-year-old but it looks like West Ham United and Newcastle lead the race currently.

Up until now, Mooy has played in 24 Premier League games for the Terriers scoring just goals and providing one assist.

But despite such poor statistics, the Australian still remains a pretty fine talent.

It is still unclear as to which club Aaron Mooy will be joining in the summer but some rumours also suggest that the midfielder might stay with Huddersfield and help them push for a promotion.

But given the interest of so many clubs, we are a bit sceptical as to whether the Australian would want to take a demotion when he can easily keep playing in the top division next season.
