OGC Nice midfielder Jean Michael Seri is one of the most sought-after players during the summer transfer window and it is being said that Premier League side West Ham United are now favourites to land him.

Seri joined Nice in 2015 and in the three seasons that he has spent with the club he has made 121 appearances in all competitions – scoring 11 goals.

Italian outlet Tuttomercatoweb claim that West Ham United have made a concrete offer for Jean Michael Seri but by no means are they the only club looking to sign the 26-year-old.

London rivals Chelsea and Napoli are also interested in the central midfielder and these clubs are also preparing bids for Seri.

The Italian outlet claims that Napoli boss Carlo Ancelotti has made Jean Michael Seri one of his top priorities during the summer transfer window and he is more than willing to meet Nice’s transfer demands for the midfielder.

Jean Michael Seri is a player who can play in both central as well as defensive midfield and is widely regarded as a player who has a calm head on his shoulders.

He is known to be a wonderful passer of the ball and is also great when it comes to taking set pieces.

Chelsea too are interested in signing the midfielder and the Blues are probably the only club amongst the interested trio who tried to sign Seri during the January transfer window.

The Stamford Bridge outfit are expected to sort out their managerial crisis by the end of the week and hopefully appoint Maurizio Sarri as their new boss. And once that move goes through then they are expected to make a move for Seri.

But as things stand, Manuel Pellegrini’s West Ham United are leading the race to sign Jean Michael Seri and by the time Chelsea roll up their sleeves to make a bid for the midfielder, he might have already moved into the London Stadium.
