West Ham United suffered their second defeat of the new season as they lose to AFC Bournemouth 2-1 at the London Stadium.

The Hammers took the lead thanks to a nicely taken penalty from Marko Arnautovic but then the Cherries dug in deep and two quickfire goals ensured that Eddie Howe’s team went back with all three points.

Here are the ratings for the West Ham United players:

Lukasz Fabianski – 7/10

Made a nervy start to the game but settled in quickly and made a good save to deny Callum Wilson from scoring.

Pablo Zabaleta – 5.5/10

Did the job well throughout the game but could have done a bit more for the Wilson goal.

Fabian Balbuena – 5/10

Another player at fault for the Wilson goal. Wilson went past him too easily.

Angelo Ogbonna – 7/10

Made a great block to deny Josh King from scoring.

Arthur Masuaku – 5/10

David Brooks was a major concern for Masuaku all throughout the game and gave away too many free-kicks.

Robert Snodgrass – 6/10

Linked up well with Arnautovic but went cold during the second 45 minutes.

Mark Noble – 5.5/10

Failed to keep up with Wilson during the goal and should have done more – being the senior pro in the team.

Jack Wilshere – 7/10

Second poor performance for Jack Wilshere on the trot even though he started the game well.

Felipe Anderson – 7

Made some good balls for Javier Hernandez and Arnautovic but that was about it.

Javier Hernandez – 6

Linked up well with Marko Arnautovic and did ever so well to win that penalty through which the Hammers scored their only goal of the match.

Marko Arnautovic – 6.5/10

Took a superb penalty to give the home side the lead but faded away as the game went on.

Substitute:

Andriy Yarmolenko – 4.5/10

Carlos Sanchez – 4/10

Lucas Perez – 5/10
