West Ham United travel to the Cardiff City Stadium to take on Cardiff in the Premier League this weekend.

Manuel Pellegrini’s men are in high spirits after picking up a 2-0 win vs Newcastle United last weekend and if sense prevails then this should be another easy three points for the Hammers.

But one of the biggest problems for West Ham is their failure to be consistent and dropping points during unnecessary games.

West Ham team news vs Cardiff:

Jack Wilshere is yet to recover from his ankle injury and the manager has confirmed that the midfielder will not play a part this weekend.

The absence of Wilshere means Mark Noble and Declan Rice will once again play in central midfield.

Aaron Cresswell picked up a head injury last weekend vs the Magpies and was forced off but reports suggest the full-back should be fit to start vs Cardiff this week.

Manuel Lanzini is also expected to start which means Samir Nasri could be forced to the bench while Michael Antonio makes his way back to the first XI after remaining on the bench last weekend.

Marko Arnautovic came off the bench vs Newcastle United but the Austrian is expected to start vs Cardiff this weekend meaning Hernandez will drop to the bench.

Most of West Ham’s injury concerns are long-term and these players are not likely to return back to action any time soon.
