West Ham United suffered yet another defeat in the Premier League in midweek as they went down 2-0 to Manchester City away from home.

And next up, the Hammers hit the road once again, this time they head to Anfield to take on league-leaders Liverpool on Monday and they could very well be staring at yet another defeat.

The Hammers are winless in their last five league matches and in addition to that they have also lost their previous four away matches. And given the way, Liverpool have been performing this season, there’s very little chance that Moyes’ men will be able to walk away from Anfield with even a point meaning they should remain in the relegation battle next week as well.

West Ham United news vs Liverpool:

Cresswell, Ogbonna and Diop played in a three-man defensive line against Manchester City in midweek and the trio should once again be named in the first XI vs Liverpool on Monday.

Ryan Fredericks was taken off with a shoulder injury on Wednesday and right now it looks like the player will not be fit in time to take on Liverpool meaning Pablo Zabaleta will come into the starting line-up.

Speaking about the injury after the match, David Moyes had said: “I think it is his AC joint, in his shoulder, we think he might have popped it. I don’t know exactly what it is, but we don’t think it is a dislocation.”

Felipe Anderson returned back to the bench vs City in midweek but we don’t think the Brazilian will get a chance to start against Liverpool either. At best, the player could come on a substitute in the second half of the match.

Jarrod Bowen made his West Ham debut in midweek as he came off the bench and it will be interesting to see if David Moyes chooses to hand the new arrival his first start at the club.

Robert Snodgrass played up front for West Ham United alongside Michail Antonio at the Etihad but the former could be replaced by Haller vs Liverpool on Monday.

The Hammers have two players who are completely ruled out with injuries. The first one being midfielder Jack Wilshere is out with a groin injury.

And the other one is Yarmolenko who is recovering from a thigh injury and as per the latest updates, he should return back to full fitness sometime next month.
