West Ham United are currently battling with the likes of Wolves and Leicester in order to play in the Europa League next season.

But amidst this, Pellegrini has already started planning for the summer transfer window.

Right now a number of players have been associated with a move to the London stadium at the end of the season, the current one being, former Newcastle striker Aleksandar Mitrovic.

Aleksandar Mitrovic joined Fulham after a really disastrous spell with Newcastle United last season but the forward made a brilliant start to the 2018-19 campaign.

Up until now, the 24-year-old has managed to net 10 goals in 32 Premier League games for the Craven Cottage outfit but during the past couple of games, his form has really dipped.

But despite such a poor run of form, Aleksandar Mitrovic still remains a top-class talent and it looks like Pellegrini wants him on board for the upcoming season.

The Hammers already have a number of strikers at his disposal but with Andy Carroll more or less certain to leave the club during the summer it seems like the Fulham man could turn out to be an ideal replacement.

But given Fulham have been relegated to the Championship, they will now struggle to hold onto a number of their players.

While the club believe they can retain most of them for the next season but if the likes of West Ham come calling for Aleksandar Mitrovic, then surely the 24-year-old would take the option of staying in the top flight.
