West Ham United finally picked up their first win of the new season beating Everton away from home this weekend.

And just when things were looking bright for the Hammers fans they seem to have been hit with a major injury blow.

If reports are to be believed then West Ham United midfielder Jack Wilshere could very well be out for a long time.

Wilshere’s career has been badly hampered due to several knee injuries during his time at Arsenal and now it seems that this problem has once again resurfaced with Manuel Pellegrini claiming that the summer signing was having some knee troubles.

And now Claret and Hugh who are an excellent source for West Ham news are claiming that Jack Wilshere could have surgery on his troubled ankle.

A senior source told Claret and Hugh that “Although no final decision has been made until the results of the scan are known, the rumours that he faces more surgery on his ankle and could be out for three months could turn out to be true”

While it is being claimed that Jack Wilshere will be out for close to three months but given his track record with injuries the midfielder could very well be facing close to five months on the sidelines.

As of now, the club are waiting for the scans.
